Ragged Lake Canoe Trip
(September 3 - 6, 2010)
Our trip to Ragged Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park was another 4 day trip that I made with my daughter Madeline over the Labour Day weekend. Madeline had patiently waited her turn to come along and we were excited to be headed out for some father-daughter bonding. This would be the first trip to Smoke Lake and Ragged Lake for both of us which made it a new adventure. Of course, if we happened to catch a few fish along the way, well then that would be a fine way to finish up our summer. (more ...) |

Booth Lake Canoe Trip
(July 1 - 4, 2010)
This was a 4 day trip that I took with my younger son, Peter, over the July long weekend in 2010. We were looking for a few things on this trip, with the first and most important being to just have a good time while we explored a new area that neither of us had been to before. While we were at it, we were also looking to catch a few fish, in particular we wanted to find some Northern Pike since we don't have any Pike in our lake back at the cottage. (more ...) |

Algonquin Canoe Trip
(May 2 - 5, 2009)
Well, usually I'm the one who writes up these trip reports, but this year my daughter decided that it was her turn to write one. For the last 4 years now we've been doing a 'parent-kid' fishing trip to Pen Lake either the first or second week of trout season. This was Madeline's second year on the trip with me. (more ...) |

Petawawa River - Lake Travers to Lake McManus
(June 17 - 20, 2005)
The Petawawa River was a new adventure for us. This interior canoe trip was planned as a 4 day excursion on the lower portion of the Petawawa River through Algonquin Provincial Park from Lake Travers down to Lake McManus. Since it was a one-way river trip the logistics were more complicated than a loop would have been. However, the bigger challenge for this trip is that the Petawawa is a classic Ontario whitewater river. (more ...) |

Algonquin Spring Fishing 2005
(May 8 - 13, 2005)
This was the annual spring fishing trip. As usual we went in at Rock Lake and set up a base camp on Pen Lake. This year we fished Pen, Clydegale, Welcome, and Harry (more ...) |

Frontenac Provincial Park
(July 27 - 29, 2004)
This was a 3 day, 2 night trip with the whole family. Two adults, 3 kids and the dog. We put in on Big Salmon Lake and then camped on Little Salmon and Little Clear Lake before paddling back out through Big Salmon Lake. (more ...) |
