Canoe Fishing Rod Holders

Loon Island Boatworks specializes in the building and restoration of woodstrip and plywood canoes, boats and kayaks. The Boatworks was founded in 1992 with the construction of a 16' cedarstrip and fibreglass canoe of the Chestnut Prospector design working from the lines and instructions provided by Ted Moores in his book Canoecraft.

This Chestnut Prospector was launched in October of 1993.
