Lessons Learned

  1. I probably can cut back to 1 bag of GORP, seems every time I take 2 bags I bring one home. Oh, the GORP in this case starts with a resealable bag of Bits N Bites, add the local bulk GORP combo and half of a big bag of M&Ms. This time I added some dried apricots for good measure too.
  2. If you count on the other guys to bring the fish finder, you're likely to end up with no one bringing a fish finder. This is not a big deal when you already know the lakes, but it could be disaster if you are fishing somewhere new.
  3. Cooking steaks is a lot easier in daylight. Hard to tell a medium-rare from a well done by flashlight. Of course this means we were back from fishing while the sun was still up. I'm not sure if that's a sign of old age or not.
